FAQ

Do you offer one-on-one email contact and coaching?

I offer bi-monthly Mastermind Meetings with the entire class via Zoom. This is where we can all hang-out, ask questions, and encourage one another. That said, my goal is to focus on creating more content for you guys so that I can coach as many of you as possible through consistent content uploads. So, in short, I can’t connect with you personally via email to answer specific questions, but I will hang out on the Discord server daily, while also relying on my wing-man Hector to direct any major questions and course updates to me, so that I can address them! Don’t be shy on the Discord server, I hang out there a lot! I also can’t wait to meet you in the bi-monthly Mastermind Meetings.

Is the course 100% complete?

Nope, we’re currently in the EARLY ACCESS phase. This is a time for me to finish the remaining 10% of tutorial videos, while also addressing any concerns you guys bring up. This is a time where the community can help dictate the content, and also help me create better content that is easily digested. Thanks for you patience and help!

How long can I use this course?

Forever! Better yet, all additional content currently in production will be yours, free, forever, the moment it’s uploaded.

Can you mentor me + play my game + help me make my game?

Aside from the bi-monthly Mastermind Meetings, video content, and game jams, I sadly can’t personally mentor you. I wish I could! All that said, the content available has been crafted to be both personal and highly detailed, ensuring you are given a strong guiding hand through the indie game arena. Be sure to join the community during the game jams and Mastermind Meetings, as I can assure you they will provide a ton of the same qualities you may be seeking with personal mentorship.

Why do you focus so heavily on building a brand before even creating a game?

I get this question a lot, and personally, it’s what I believe sets this course apart from so many other game development courses. Steam, along with other gaming platforms, is incredibly competitive (more-so than ever). To make a splash and stimulate the Steam algorithm, you need an army of supporters via social media and wishlists to show up on launch day to purchase your game. Therefore, building a brand, no matter how cringey, no matter how small, and gaining a following, is paramount before all else as a full time game dev. All that said, if you’d like to bi-pass the social media portion of the online course, and revisit it after creating your game, that’s fine, but I don’t recommend it!
